According to Chicago news reports, a man was arrested and charged for vehicular homicide after an accident that resulted in the injury or himself and the death of his front seat passenger. Among those who were also injured in this accident was another passenger in the man's car along with two police officers in the cruiser that the driver crashed into on the road. This man is now facing reckless driving charges as well as
aggravated DUI resulting in bodily harm and death.
The driver was a 24 year old individual, who was found also to be driving not only under the influence of alcohol, but also on a suspended license at the time. Among those charges also includes driving in an uninsured motor vehicle, failing to keep the lines, and public property damages. The police reports state that the passenger who died was ejected from the art upon the collision with the police cruiser, and was founded to be dead at the scene. The man who was found dead in the wreckage was only 18 years of age. The driver and the other passenger in the vehicle were reported to be severely injured form the accident, though their wounds are not fatal.
