Two years ago 75 year old Ludolf Breymann lost his life to fatal injuries after being involved in a disastrous car accident. He and his wife, Christa Breymann, 75, were abiding by the traffic laws of the area when Robert McGraw came rolling through a red light and crashed into their vehicle. Both victims were injured from the car accident, and the husband died in the hospital later that day, while his wife incurred severe injuries from the accident. News reports share that as he stood before the court at his sentencing hearing Mr. McGraw spoke of his regret and stated that if he could trade his life for the victims he would.
The day's events that lead to this life changing accident began when Robert McGraw took his prescription medication, Xanax and took well over the prescribed dosage. Knowing that he had taken more of the medication than he should of, the prosecution argued that he willingly got behind the wheel of his car. Having been prescribed to use this medication for his anxiety attacks, the accused claims the day of the accident he suffered an attack and therefore took another pill.
Police reports from the scene state that at the scene of the accident, McGraw had a hard time staying awake even for the officers, and when they conducted the toxicology report it showed that there was twice the dosage in his system making him dangerous on the road. This is clearly not the average DUI case, however a DUI arrest can be made for anyone who is considered to be intoxicated while driving. Robert McGraw's actions lead to the loss of another person's life, and he has been sentenced to 5 years behind bars as a result. In the event that you have been arrested for a
