Florida Woman Arrested for DUI after Demanding Free Food at McDonalds

In Florida this past week, a 34 year old woman was arrested for driving under the influence after the employees at a McDonald's fast food restaurant reported her early Sunday morning. According to the police, the woman allegedly drove through the drive-through and demanded the morning employees for free food because of her unhappiness with past burgers from a previous visit. However the employees explained to the woman that during these specific hours they only sold breakfast foods, in which case the woman demanded free Egg McMuffins instead of Big Macs.

The woman continued to demand food and eventually held up the drive through line with her arguments. The restaurant contacted the local deputies and when they arrived they made her leave the window. At this point the woman declared that because they wouldn't give her free food her rights were being violated. The deputies could smell of alcohol on her person and her demeanor was that of a person under the influence, they then asked that she conduct a field sobriety test. After this test they checked her blood alcohol content level which registered at 0.108 percent, the legal limit being 0.08.

When questioned by the officers, the woman claimed that she had taken the prescription drug Klonopin which her doctors gave her as a treatment for controlling seizures as well as a panic disorder. The police also claim that the woman believed it was 4 in the morning as opposed to the actual time of 6 a.m. After failing the field sobriety tests, the woman claimed that her current state was because of the current prescription se was taking.
